Welcome to the Christian world, Michael James Yap!
The first son of PBA basketball star James Yap and Michela Cazzola was baptized over the weekend with 12 pairs of ninongs and ninangs at Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park last January 14. This would be the first time the public gets a good look at Michael James, or Baby MJ, who was born last August 8, 2016. In a previous interview with Pep.ph, James said Michela was hesistant to show her son for privacy reasons (the baby is often seen in a side profile in their social media posts). Michela said it was "a cultural thing," explaining that in Italy, where she is originally from, they avoid showing photos of young babies. She has obviously made an exception for her son's christening.

James told Pep.ph previously that most of the godparents were not from showbiz, but those who are from the industry included Julius Babao and Christine Bersola, shown above together with Charisse Tinio of Nice Print Photo, which was the event’s photographer.

According to James, Michela did invite his former wife Kris Aquino, but they were unsure whether she and the kids, Bimby and Joshua, would be able to make it. So far, photos from their social media accounts do not show the boys or Kris.
The bapstismal reception had a Little Prince theme. With details like the gold candelabra, table runners in black and white stripes, and stars on the ceiling, the party had an elegant old world charm. An adorable touch: petite crowns on top of terrarium-like centerpieces, a nod to the classic children's story.

Happy 1st birthday, Patrice Garcia!
Patrick Garcia and wife Nikka Martinez threw a first birthday party for their second daughter, Patrice, last January 15. Stripes was also part of theme for this party although this one takes inspiration from animal prints. The result was a pink or pastel safari, complete with hanging vines from the ceiling along with balloons and lanterns.
