  • Jennylyn Mercado on Patrick Garcia's wife Nikka: "Very understanding, napakabait."

The single mom confirmed what their Instagram posts tell us so far, that she and Nikka, the wife of her ex Patrick and father of her child, are on good terms. "Ang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa asawa niya, kay Nikka, very supportive kasi, e... So, masaya ako na very open si Nikka, tapos very understanding. Napakabait, e. Oo, napakabait," she said. She's also thankful that her son Alex Jazz is close to her half-siblings Chelsea and Patrice since they spend time with him as a family.

Jennylyn also said she now allows her son Alex Jazz to sleep over at Patrick's place, clarifying that she could not do so before due to Alex Jazz's "condition." "Kasi noon maliit pa siya. e. Ngayon, nine years old na siya. Nakakatakot lang na pag mag-o-overnight sa ibang bahay kahit na siyempre tatay niya 'yon, mahirap yung handling, e. Iba pa rin yung nakasanayan ng bata. Ngayon nagagamay naman na nila," she explained.  The single mom did not elaborate further on the said condition of her son. (pep.ph)

Sunshine Cruz on when she knew her marriage was over
"I know that I did everything to save the marriage. It took me 13 years to save it, but na-realize kong talagang walang pupuntahan and we are both miserable already. So I guess it’s time to move on," the single mom of three said in an interview on ANC's Headstart. Sunshine said she was "stick thin" and "looked unhealthy" when she decided to love herself more than her ex-husband Cesar Montano or their marriage. "That was the time that I realized na teka, umikot ang mundo ko sa isang tao. It's time to take care of myself more, and that was the time na nag-exercise na ako, nagpakulay na ako ng buhok," the 40-year-old actress said.

Sunshine and Cesar parted ways in 2013, and she filed for the annulment of their marriage in early 2014 (the case still hasn't been finalized).  She has already found a new love in Macky Mathay, and they had marked their first anniversary as a couple last September. Sunshine also offers advice for people who are looking for love again: "If you want your partner or someone to love you, I think you should start [with] yourself... mahalin mo muna ang sarili mo. If matanggap at mahalin mo ang sarili mo, then it will follow naman, meron nang magmamahal sa 'yo, definitely," she said. (abs-cbn.com)

Maricar de Mesa finally speaks up about the father of her baby
She, however, still did not reveal his name, but Maricar finally talked about the new man in his life. She says they have to carry on a long-distance relationship because he's an American and has to travel back and forth to the U.S. in between spending time with Maricar and their daughter Alianna Sky. "Mahirap. It’s really not easy na walang partner sa tabi, lalo na ngayon na may baby. But he is here every month. He’s back and forth every month. He’s here eight to nine days a month since I gave birth," she shared. Maricar said they have no plans of getting married yet because she had just gotten the decision of her annulment case (from ex-husband and former basketball player Don Allado), and she admits she's not ready. "Kasi, we both came from divorce. The way I see it, what’s the rush? Pareho na tayo nanggaling diyan," Maricar said. "Having a baby is a different phase, so ito muna. Ito munang phase na ‘to na may baby," she explained. (pep.ph)

For its 110th anniversary, Manulife Philippines launched a campaign to express gratitude and give back to its customers. Celebrities and Manulife Ambassadors Richard Yap, James Reid, and Sarah Geronimo kicked off the campaign by giving away gifts to people with advocacies, all captured in a video. It shows the moment the recipients were presented with the surprise gifts. Two of the recipients are Ronald, a businessman with an advocacy of promoting literacy by building container libraries across the country; and the Camillian Sisters of Marikina, who run a school for children with special needs. The video and the campaign couldn't be more aptly launched during this time—it is indeed an inspiration to celebrate giving.
