The Doctor Is In: Jodi Sta. Maria Cast In PH Remake Of 'A World Of Married Couple'

We finally know who’s playing Ji Sun Woo, Lee Tae Oh, and Da Kyung in the Philippine remake of A World Of Married Couple!

According to a Facebook post by Dreamscape Entertainment, the production company behind the teleserye, actress Jodi Sta. Maria will be taking on the role of Dra. Jill Ilustre, AKA Ji Sun-Woo in the South Korean adaptation of the BBC One drama Doctor Foster.

Joining Jodi in the Pinoy cast are Zanjoe Marudo as Dra. Jill’s husband David Ilustre (Lee Tae Oh), Sue Ramirez as the mistress Lexy Lucero (Da Kyung), and Zaijian Jaranilla as Gio Ilustre, Dra. Jill and David’s son (Lee Joon Young).

In April, BBC Studios and ABS-CBN announced their agreement for the creation of the Philippine adaptation of the hit BBC One series. The Philippines’ version will be the drama’s sixth official international remake.

In case you don’t know, Doctor Foster revolves around the story of a doctor named Gemma Foster who suspects her husband Simon is having an affair. The South Korean adaptation got K-drama moms hooked until its final episode streamed on Netflix!

It’s definitely one of the best series we watched in 2020 so it’s safe to say Pinoys are excited for the Philippine remake.
