Josh Dela Cruz, Filipino-American host of the popular kids' show Blue’s Clues & You! made a meaningful visit to the Masungi Georeserve in Baras, Rizal, on Wednesday.
The Masungi Georeserve team took to social media to share highlights of his visit, quoting Josh as saying, “Masungi is now one of my favorite places in the Philippines. I couldn’t believe something like this exists and is continuously threatened.”
The conservation group then expressed their heartfelt gratitude for Josh’s support. They wrote, “Thank you, Joshua, for proudly raising the Philippine flag and spending time with our team. Your support means the world in amplifying the call to protect this precious sanctuary.” Masungi Georeserve stands as one of the Philippines' largest and most successful reforestation projects. However, the site faces challenges, including threats to its preservation.
Currently, Josh is touring the country in partnership with the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board (TPB). He was recently spotted visiting the stunning falls in ICanyon in Cebu, and enjoyed vegan Filipino cuisine in the city with his parents.

Kuya Josh’s Bucket List
Upon Josh’s visit, the TPB posted about him on Instagram, writing, “With roots in Laguna, a province known for its serene natural springs and the streets that echo the nation’s heroic legacy, Josh’s love for the Philippines runs deep. From exploring the underwater wonders of Batangas to strolling through the historic streets of Cebu, and a visit to see festive Christmas lanterns of Pampanga—Josh’s travel bucket list is filled with nostalgia, adventure, and culture.”
The board then thanked him for sharing his journey and advocacy, adding, “Salamat kaayo, Josh, for sharing your journey and passion for the Philippines. Let’s make that bucket list a reality and explore these incredible destinations together!”
