To address this pressing reality and to ensure that every family stays safe, Save the Children Philippines is taking significant strides through its “Lahat Dapat Safe” campaign. This initiative reaffirms the organization's commitment to providing immediate relief and preparing disaster-prone communities. Even and especially during the holiday season—a time of joy for some but a period of anxiety for families vulnerable to typhoons and other natural calamities.

"Ang Save the Children Philippines, we believe that every child should be safe from any disaster. In the case of Typhoon Kristine, our team reached ground zero in Barangay Sampaloc in Talisay, Batangas within 72 hours. In fact, we were one of the first NGOs to arrive in Barangay Sampaloc."

This swift response strengthens Save the Children's unwavering commitment to safeguarding children’s well-being in times of crisis.

Building Hope Amidst Risks

Since the Philippines is among the most disaster-vulnerable nations, with over three million families affected annually by typhoons, floods, and earthquakes. Children are especially at risk, facing disruptions to their education and the potential for long-term trauma.

The "Lahat Dapat Safe" campaign was created to answer these challenges by ensuring the provision of emergency supplies and strengthening community resilience. Donations help cover essential items such as family emergency and hygiene kits to maintain health, household kits with necessary items for daily living, and back-to-school kits to support uninterrupted learning for children. The organization also aims to provide mental health services and programs for necessary psychosocial support.
