LJ Reyes, Rica Peralejo Share Stories About When Their Children Got SickThe two celebrity moms shared their stories on social media.by Kate Borbon .
Motherhood is a joyous journey, but it’s not always easy, especially when kids get sick, as celebrity moms LJ Reyes and Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio recently shared.
She wrote, “Isang gabi, sumuka sya sa kakaubo nya. Somehow small kids spit up phlegm that way. Their bodies’ way to get rid of it.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Karga karga ko sya nun tapos hirap na hirap sya umubo. So pinapat ko yung likod nya to help her (somehow). And I [kept] telling her ‘It’s ok. Mommy’s here!’. Sobra kapit nya sakin.”CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
Even when Summer vomited all over her, LJ refused to put her down, despite her partner Paolo Contis’ offers to help.
“Tinanggap ko lahat ng suka nya punong puno ako ng suka. Pero di ko sya binitawan. Tapos sabi ni @paolo_contis sakin kunin na muna nya si Summer para makapagbihis ako. Pero ayaw ko. So kinuha ko tong burp cloth nya sinuot ko tapos niyakap ko ulit si Summer hanggang sa makatulog sya.”
Finally, LJ agreed to let Paolo take Summer and change into new clothes. When she saw her reflection in the mirror, she decided to take a picture of herself “to remind me that night, that moment na.. ‘uy di na pala ako magisa!’”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
She continued, “Minsan nakakalimutan ko na andyan si Pao not because he’s absent but because I was so used to doing everything on my own. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na may taong nagaalaga din sayo.”
LJ concluded her post with messages to both Paolo and her fellow moms.
“Gusto ko lang sana magpasalamat kay @paolo_contis! For being the father and partner that you are. Salamat sa pagaalaga sa amin!ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“And to tell my fellow moms na minsan ok lang di tayo makapagayos para lang sa pamilya natin. Sasaluhin natin lahat ng suka ng buong buo para sa kanila! Our journeys may all be different pero parepareho ang puso natin!”
In a post from October 16, 2019, Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio also revealed that her family of four all recently got ill.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
She wrote in the caption, “We caught a rather strong bug and most of us are down. Philip, Manu, [and] I have a little bit in my throat, our driver and even my husband. We did not sleep much all night and found ourselves moving up and down the floors to help the infant find his least discomforting position.”
Rica also shared that they were only able to sleep when the sun was already up.
On Instagram Stories, Rica said that they had gotten the flu.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Manu woke up every hour last night. He finally slept at 5:30AM. At which point, Philip wakes up crying and kicking because his ears were painful. The flu has gotten the colds to his ears and now he has an ear infection.”
She also shared, “I am painfully sleep deprived and exhausted.”
Let’s hope LJ, Rica, and their kids are all recovering well!
