Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon marked an important milestone as their adorable baby Felize McKenzie was baptized over the weekend.

The celebrity couple threw a sunny and flower-filled reception for Felize's baptism held at the Museo de Padilla, with the help of events planner La Belle Fete Wedding & Events and events stylist Dave Sandoval.

 

 

The daisy theme perfectly matched Felize's feel-good and bubbly energy she has been giving off after being introduced to the public by her parents last October 2021. Her bungisngis face has been captivating netizens ever since!

On their Instagram accounts, La Belle Fete and Dave Sandoval shared stunning photos from the venue, which was transformed into an enchanting indoor garden.

In their post, La Belle Fete further explained the inspiration behind the overall theme of baptism drawn from Felize's name. "Feliz(e) means joy. Inspired by the happiness and innocence of daisies, this fete is fresh, clean, and a novel take on a baptismal celebration.

"Bringing sunshine and vibrance to their lives, the daisies mimic the sun just as Felize brings brightness and joy to @mccoydeleon and @elissejosonn."

On Elisse's Instagram stories, she reshared some photos from the intimate celebration attended by family and friends. Her close friend in showbusiness, Sofia Andres, was also present at the event.

 

 

One of the videos reshared by Elisse showed how calm Felize was during the baptism ceremony.

 

 

Last February 10, 2022, Felize turned 10 months old, and in just a couple of months, she'll be celebrating her first birthday. 

Elisse is one proud mom sharing her firstborn daughter's milestones, including "eating real food like rice with sabaw and gulay" and "staying and playing in your crib."

But as much as she loves witnessing Felize's development, Elisse also can't help but feel sentimental about how her daughter is growing up. "I'm so happy you're discovering all sorts of things but sad at the same time cause it's all happening so fast!" she shared.

For his part, McCoy shared in a previous interview how being a father changed his outlook in life. "[Ang] masasabi ko lang, masayang-masaya ako sa buhay ko ngayon. Ibang turning point ito. Kumbaga, nagkaroon lalo ng direksiyon."

He adds, "Di ko ma-explain yung words, pero ang sarap pala magkaroon ng anak lalo na ng pamilya. Mas lalo kong gustong mag-pursige sa buhay."

Choosing godparents

While godparents are only often seen as gift-givers during birthdays or Christmas, their role goes beyond that. Godparents are much like a child's second parents, so they should not be present only during special occasions.
