Kylie Padilla "did her best" to have a water birth
Kylie's road manager, Ghee Castro, took to Instagram to share what it was like to be in the hospital when Kylie gave birth to Alas Joaquin. "It is the most incredible thing I've ever witnessed and something I will never forget," she wrote.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
According to her post, Kylie wanted to deliver their baby boy via water birth. But after four days of labor, "Kylie fought so hard and did her best, but sometimes things are not in our control, Kylie's cervix did not dilate fully when they reached eight centimeters, so she decided to go with normal delivery," Castro wrote.
"It is true, that once the mother has finally seen her child, all the pain goes away, at least for few precious minutes. Kylie even cut her umbilical cord and was able to stand and walk to check on Alas few hours after delivery," the road manager said, adding that the experience made her appreciate all moms especially her own. No tuition and other school fees in UP this semester
University of the Philippines president Danilo Concepcion announced tuition fees will not be collected from undergraduate students this semester via a memorandum released August 7. The memo came after President Rodrigo Duterte recently signed into law the Republic Act 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, which would take effect next year. The students will still have to go through the usual process of enrollment.
"All Filipino undergraduate students are covered by the memorandum except for those who already hold undergraduate or bachelor’s degrees, failed to meet admission and retention rules, or exceeded the maximum residency requirement," according to the report. "Those not covered by the benefits of the law may apply for scholarships or financial assistance under the existing Socialized Tuition System of the university. New Wonder trailer is still a tearjerker
This New York Times bestseller book-to-movie adaptation hasn't been shown yet, but we've cried plenty of tears based on the first trailer alone. The second trailer is no different and further strengthens its claim to become "tearjerker film of the year" -- and not just for parents. Wonder tells the fictional story of 10-year-old Auggie Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) who goes to a regular school for the first time. It's a big deal because he has had 27 surgeries that left his face disfigured. If the first trailer shows you the complications from wanting to fitting in when you stand out, the second trailer drives home the point that real beauty is found within. "You are not ugly and anyone who cares to know you will see that," Auggie's mom (played by Julia Roberts) says in the trailer. Wonder comes to theaters in November.
