After a lengthy legal battle, former beauty queen and television host Maggie Wilson has won the court's approval.
On January 18, she shared on Instagram that the family court had denied her ex-husband's request to prevent her from communicating with their 12-year-old son, Connor. The decision allows Maggie to finally reconnect with him after a long separation.
Court Rules in Maggie Wilson's Favor
"I'm starting 2025 with some GOOD news," Maggie began, uploading a series of Instagram Stories.
"I recently received a decision from the court that DENIED a petition for a Temporary and Permanent Protection Order under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (VAWC) of 2004, which was filed by my son's father, Victor Consunji, with Jose Mari O. Magsalin as his counsel, against me to stop me from being able to communicate or see my son on the basis that I am a threat to my son's mental and physical well-being," she announced.
Maggie added, "Despite several testimonies, including the likes of Marc Nelson, who testified on his knowledge on behalf of the petitioner Victor Consunji about how my son suffered emotional stress, anxiety, and annoyance due to me, all were denied by the family court of the Republic of the Philippines."
"Unfortunately, this exercise also subjected my son to being put on the stand at just 12 years old."
Maggie Wilson and Ex-husband's Legal Battles
Maggie and Victor's legal battles began after their separation in 2021, following more than a decade of marriage.
Victor filed for a protection order, claiming that Maggie's social media posts were allegedly harmful to Connor. However, the court ruled in Maggie's favor.
In her Instagram Stories, Maggie shared part of the court's decision, writing, "The posts merely expressed the love and longings of a mother for her son, who was separated from her. The respondent really missed her son, nothing more and nothing less."
She also highlighted that the court found no credible evidence to support claims of "psychological violence" against her son. The ruling reaffirmed her right to stay in contact with Connor.
In her post, she expressed gratitude to the judge for the decision. Maggie wrote, "On behalf of all mothers going through something similar, I'd like to thank the Presiding Judge and the Family Court for seeing through what is right and just. I'd like to apologize for the behavior of my ex-husband for yet again wasting the court's valuable time."
Maggie also shared a heartfelt message for Connor, along with a photo of them together. She wrote, "My love for you remains unwavering, standing strong against the tests of both distance and time."
Mother's Day 2024
Throughout the legal dispute, Maggie has made efforts to maintain a bond with Connor. On Mother's Day 2024, she shared how heartbreaking the separation had been.
"It's been almost two years since I last held him and 494 days since we last spoke. I've missed two birthdays, two Christmases, two New Year's celebrations, and countless milestones. There is nothing more painful than the loss of a child who I know is growing up without me," she wrote at the time.
"You may have noticed that I've been posting less about him. It's because I received a notice for a Protection Order for sharing images and videos of my own son on social media, to stop me from seeing or speaking to him until he becomes an adult," she added.

"I am a mother, but I have been robbed of the chance to be a mother. Nonetheless, I will always be his mommy, and that is something no one, not even time, can erase. You are always with me, Connor. Forever in my heart, in my mind, and in my prayers. One day, bubbah. Our time will come. I will never lose hope. I love you and miss you dearly, my little man," wrote Maggie for Connor.
