Marian Rivera On Getting Pregnant Again: 'Right Timing'Marian Rivera has confirmed that she's expecting baby number 2. Let's look back to how the actress was the first time she was pregnant in 2015.by Rachel Perez .
Marian Rivera has always been candid about wanting a big family. She was more than ready to be a wife and a mom, and all the changes and challenges that come with it, when she and Dingdong decided to tie the knot back in December 2014.
After welcoming their daughter Zia in 2015, the couple has been hoping for another addition to their family. Now that Marian and Dingdong have announced that they are infanticipating again, it's truly an answered prayer.
"Gustong-gusto ko na talaga, kasi 'yong anak ko, magti-three years old na, parang right age para sa susunod na," Marian said when asked during the Canesten press conference on September 6 on when they plan to have another baby. Indeed, Zia, whose birthday is in November, seems as excited as her parents.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Experts suggest that women who wish to get pregnant again should wait at least a year and a half to three years to ensure the body has enough time to heal and recover. Pregnancy, after all, brings a lot of changes to a woman's body.
Marian may be one of the exceptions, however. In 2015, while pregnant with Zia, Marian described her condition to Smart Parenting as "walang kahirap-hirap." In her interview, she shared that, apart from a few weeks of having morning sickness and an aversion to strong scents, she didn't have any crazy cravings or weird requests.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Marian also revealed that the only cravings she had were White Rabbit and Haw Haw candies, and of course her husband. "Cute na cute ako sa kanya tapos puro pasa siya kasi kinukurot ko sya. Nanggigigil ako sa kanya," she said about Dingdong then.
So, maybe pregnancy was not much of an adjustment for Marian. She credited her relatively easy journey to her already healthy lifestyle. Even so, she remained extra careful and took it easy, even if it was at the expense of a soap opera TV project she was supposed to headline.
Marian is one who takes motherhood seriously and doesn't leave anything to chance. In 2015, she took Lamaze classes which helped her get through 18 hours of labor. A strong advocate of breastfeeding, Marian also made sure she was prepared for nursing her child.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
In her much-awaited pregnancy announcement yesterday, Marian only gave hints as to how far along she is into her second pregnancy. According to speculations, she's either two months along the way or past the first trimester because of her already noticeable but still tiny baby bump.
Marian's Instagram post that they're looking forward to meeting their "little one" soon may mean that they have yet to find out if they're having a baby boy or girl this time. Zia's wish on Marian's birthday in August was to have a baby brother.
Every pregnancy is different, for sure, but Marian's second pregnancy seems as easy or comfortable as her first. She's again basking in the glow of motherhood.
