Ever wonder what the greatest swimmer on the planet and most decorated Olympian thinks about peeing in the pool?
Well, you're about to find out straight from the horse's mouth.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal during the London Olympics, 21-time gold medalist Michael Phelps admitted even Olympic swimmers can't refuse the call of nature.
"I think everybody pees in the pool. It's kind of a normal thing to do for swimmers," he said.
In his defense, uncomfortably holding your pee or stealthily choosing to release it in the pool right before the competition starts might spell the difference between winning or losing.
"When we're in the pool for two hours, we don't really get out to pee. We just go whenever we are on the wall," he said, adding, "But don't worry, Chlorine kills it, so it's not so bad."
Phelps currently has 25 Olympic medals under his belt after nabbing his record 21st gold on Tuesday, August 9, at the Rio Olympics.
