Muntinlupa City Now Placed Under 24-Hour Curfew

Starting Saturday, March 20, 2020, Muntinlupa City is under 24-hour curfew through Ordinance 2020-074.

The City Government of Muntinlupa explained on its official Facebook page, “No person shall be allowed to go out of their respective homes unless … he/she falls under exemptions provided by the ordinance.”

Individuals exempted from the 24-hour are the following:

• Frontliners and workers providing “essential service”
• Individuals buying basic commodities (limited to one person per household)
• Peace and Order personnel
• Emergency cases

Those who violate this ordinance will be subject to the following penalties:

First offense:

• Blotter with the barangay
• Picture or capturing of image
• Cancellation of benefits granted by the LGU (e.g., the Muntinlupa Scholarship Program, the Dagdag Puhunan zero-interest loan, etc.)

Last offense:

• Blotter with the barangay
• Picture or capturing of image
• Withholding of relief goods and other forms of assistance until the end of the quarantine period
