The new image of the Sto. Niño de Pandacan was vested and blessed by Bishop Broderick Pabillo at the Manila Cathedral in Manila on Saturday, January 16, 2021, the eve of the Feast of the Sto. Niño. It was then brought to Sto. Niño de Pandacan Parish church.
The new image honors the 400-year-old-image of child Jesus that the Sto. Niño de Pandacan church lost after it was gutted by fire in July 2020.
Nothing was saved from the century-old Sto. Niño except the globe and the scepter it was holding and the “andador” (the support for the image and its burnt vestment), according to Inquirer.net.
Also found: part of a wooden finger from the revered Sto. Niño. See below how the relic was used with the new image.

After the blessing in Manila Cathedral, the Sto. Niño de Pandacan was brought to its home, the Santo Niño de Pandacan Parish in Manila.
