Ogie Alcasid Reunites With Blended Family For Milestone Celebrations

Together with his wife and son, singer-host Ogie Alcasid traveled to Australia to reunite with his daughters Sarah and Leila, and his ex-partner Michelle Van Eimeren.

The It's Showtime host posted a picture of his blended family's reunion on Instagram. His wife Regine Velasquez and their son Nate were present, along with his daughters Leila and Sarah, and their mom Michelle, and their stepdad Mark.

"Finally our family is back together! We celebrate Mark's birthday, Sarah's graduation, Leila's graduation soon, Nate's graduation, and Shelley's graduation. God is just so good!! Hallelujah!!" captioned Ogie.

One of the milestones the Alcasid family celebrated was Sarah's graduation. Ogie recently shared on Instagram a photo from Sarah's commencement ceremony held in Australia on Friday, June 7, to celebrate his daughter's achievement. 

Ogie wrote, "Anak, I am so proud of you!!! [Sarah Alcasid] now has a bachelor of nursing degree!!" He then hinted at their reunion as he further addressed his daughter, "So excited to see you and the fambam in a few days! Love you!"

Sarah's older sister, musician Leila Alcasid, and their mom, former beauty queen Michelle, also congratulated her on their respective Instagram accounts. 

"Happy grad, baby sister. Love you," Leila said.

"Congratulations, my darling Sarah on graduating today with a Bachelor of Nursing. We are so very proud of your hard work and dedication over the last three years," Van Eimeren wrote.

She added, "We are here to support and love you as you embark on this wonderful journey of nurturing and assisting people through challenging times. We love you, Sarah."

Michelle also earned a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting last month.

Ogie Alcasid's blended family

Michelle, also known as Shelly, represented Australia at the 1994 Miss Universe in Manila, and married Ogie two years later. Their marriage lasted until 2007 when it was annulled. She has since remarried Mark Morrow.

Sarah and Leila lived with their mom and stepdad in Australia, but Leila moved back to the Philippines in recent years to pursue a music career.

Meanwhile, Ogie and Regine were married in 2010 and welcomed their son Nate a year later.

Netizens admire Ogie and Michelle's co-parenting efforts in his post. The OPM hitmaker has been co-parenting his daughters with Michelle since they separated, and he has maintained a close relationship with Mark.

Despite residing in different locations, Ogie remains involved in Sarah's life by staying in touch online, offering his full support in all aspects, and occasionally visiting her in Australia.
