PAGASA Planetarium In Quezon City Reopens This September

The PAGASA Planetarium in Quezon City reopens to the public on September 9 after extensive renovations.

"DOST-PAGASA would like to inform the general public that its planetarium at the PAGASA Central Office in Quezon City has completed its renovation and is now open to the public," stated the agency.

PAGASA Planetarium

Established in 1977 under the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration's (PAGASA) Astronomy Research and Development Section, the planetarium was upgraded to accommodate 90 seats while maintaining a child-friendly environment, making it an ideal destination for young space enthusiasts.

The planetarium offers educational and entertaining shows on basic astronomy and celestial navigation, presenting scientific concepts in a fun way for kids.

To book a planetarium show, you need a group of at least 20 people and must send a letter to DOST-PAGASA. If you have a smaller group, you're welcome to join an existing one at the time of your visit. While walk-ins are not strictly prohibited, they are discouraged. So, it's best to call their office to check for scheduled shows and availability beforehand.

The PAGASA Planetarium, located along BIR Road in Quezon City, is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, with an admission fee of only P25 per head.
