Celebrity couple Zanjoe Marudo and Ria Atayde have welcomed their first child, as seen in an Instagram story posted by Zanjoe (@onlyzanjoemarudo) on September 23, 2024. Ria was tagged in the post and later shared it on her own Instagram stories. In the short Instagram video, Zanjoe appears to be walking behind what appears to be a hospital bed. On the right side of the video, a hospital staff in blue is pulling a crib with a newborn baby wrapped in a blue and white baby blanket.
The Instagram story was captioned simply "09.23.24," accompanied by a smiley face, hands-in-prayer, and baby emojis. The background music was Bob Marley & The Wailer’s Three little Birds, featuring the lyrics, “Don’t worry about a thing, ‘cause every little thing is gonna be alright.”
Last July 21, the couple celebrated with a surprise golf-themed baby shower. In an exclusive interview with Smart Parenting, Ria shared how supportive veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez has been, as this is her first grandchild. Ria said, "I feel like this is the most, like the most supportive I've felt from her also. Because this is her first grandchild. So, medyo wild. Like she comes home from all her trips with a balikbayan box full of items for the baby, ganun. Ganung level." Sanchez reposted the same Instagram video with the caption: (3 hands in prayer emojis) 09-23-24 lola na ako!!! Yahoooo!!! followed by #thankuLord.
Zanjoe, in a similar fashion, is just as supportive as Sanchez. "Everything you could ask for," Ria said.
As of now, the couple has yet to reveal their baby's name.
It can be recalled that Ria confirmed her pregnancy in a Father’s Day post on June 16, 2024. She shared photos of her baby bump while wearing a blue swimsuit. The images showed that the couple were having fun on a beach.
The post read, “To the dad you already are and the dad I know you’ll be. Love you @onlyzanjoemarudo.” To which she added, “So excited for this new chapter with you. (heart emoji) Happy first Father’s Day!”
The celebrity couple tied the knot on March 23, 2024.
