Saab Magalona Reveals Mom Pia Gave Birth 8 Times Without Anesthesia!

The Magalona family gathered together for a mass as they remembered the late rapper, Francis M, on his birthday, October 4. He would have been 55 years old.

Perhaps inspired by Pia Magalona’s vintage birthday Instagram post for her dad, Saab Magalona Bacarro shared a throwback photo of her parents to greet and honor her mom on her 55th birthday two days after, on October 6, 2019.

“How much do I look up to my mom? Marry a handsome musician? Check!” Saab wrote, referring to tying the knot with fellow Cheats band member, Jim Bacarro, in 2015.

“Have kids once a year? So far!” she added. Saab recently gave birth to their second child, son Vito Tomas, on September 16, 2019. Just about a year and a half before, she and Jim welcomed their first child, son Pancho Gerardo, in February 2018.

“Pero hindi ko yata kaya ang eight (without anesthesia)!” the mom of two declared.

Everybody knows Pia has eight kids, all of them now all grown up, but Saab just revealed that the Master Rapper's better half gave birth to all eight of them without the help of any pain medication. Wow.

Now a mom herself, Saab feels “so lucky to have a role model” in Pia, saying “people had no idea how much hard work” she puts into her family. “You’re always taking care of everyone around you. My wish is that I always thank you and make you feel that your love is reciprocated!” the mom of two said. “You are my rock!!! I love you forever!” she added.

The co-host of the podcast Waking Up With Jim and Saab went through a traumatic birth to deliver Pancho, losing his twin sister, Luna Isabel, in the process. Amidst their family’s loss, her mom and big sister Unna were two of “her favorite mamas” who helped her learn the ropes of motherhood the first time.

That’s why Saab tells Pia how grateful she is every chance she gets. The new mom of two admitted that she went through a “suwail na anak” phase and wanted to publicly declare her gratitude to Pia “in case some kids are going through the same thing.”

“Don’t hesitate to reach out,” Saab advised other kids. “‘Maiintintidhan mo lang ‘pag naging magulang ka na,’ she added as she thanked her mom for her unconditional love. “I may be a mom now, but I’ll always be her baby,” she said, adding that her “beautiful, kind-hearted, strong, and outspoken” mom is Saab’s “super peg in life.”

Pia shared a family photo as she thanked her kids for her birthday lunch. “I love being with you all as often as possible,” she said. “Since I gave you all life — I think it’s just fair that you give back by bringing joy into my life,” the mom of eight quipped.

With cute little apos, such as Pancho and Vito, Saab, together with her siblings’ kids, may have just made Pia’s wish come true.
