After a long engagement, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez finally revealed that they plan to marry in Manila sometime in March 2020. The couple made the special announcement on Sunday, October 6, 2019, during a press conference and after a guest appearance on ASAP Natin To.
The month of March is significant to the couple for many reasons. “We chose March because we got engaged in March (2017). Kai was [also] born in March (2018),” Sarah explained to the press. “March is a very special month for us so we felt March would be right to get married.”
“Parang everything aligned. When we were checking the dates, when we were checking availabilities, everything, parang aligned for March,” adds Richard. “So, we decided, let’s do it in March.”

Their sons Zion and Kai will be part of the entourage, according to Sarah. Their honeymoon will also be a family affair as the kids will be joining them. They plan to reveal more details in the coming months.
Richard proposed to Sarah while on a hike in Zermatt, Switzerland where Sarah was born. “It was on an iconic mountain in Switzerland, then the tip the Matterhorn was right behind us,” Richard told Preview.ph back in July 2017. Sarah shared that she was “ugly crying” for five minutes because of the romantic proposal.
According to Pep.ph, the two were not able to plan their wedding right away because Richard was offered a role in the teleserye La Luna Sangre while Sarah got pregnant with their second son, Kai.

During their guesting in ASAP, the couple was serenaded by different artists, featuring songs from their love song playlist. It was also an advanced birthday celebration for Sarah. Richard's sister, Ruffa Gutierrez, was a proud ate and took a video of their guesting, which she shared on Twitter.
After the segment, Martin Nievera asked the two, “What do you think is the secret to your love story?"
Sarah answered, “I think putting God in the middle of our relationship is the most important thing. [And] Trust, communication, and respect.”
