YouTube is welcoming more family-friendly content as Sesame Street announces an expanded partnership with the platform.
Over the past year, the iconic children’s program has amassed more than five billion views across its YouTube channels, marking a 130 percent increase from the previous year. Much of this growth comes from connected TV screens, where over half of the channel’s watch time now takes place, showing that families are increasingly turning to YouTube for shared viewing experiences.

Hundreds of Episodes and New Muppet Videos
Beginning January 2026, YouTube will host the largest digital collection of Sesame Street episodes, offering hundreds of full-length episodes for families to enjoy anytime.
In addition to classic episodes, the channel will produce content for the YouTube audience, including sing-alongs, interactive clips, and educational segments with the beloved Muppets. These videos combine fun and learning, helping children develop social-emotional skills, literacy, and numeracy in playful ways.
Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, will also leverage over 50 years of research-backed experience to collaborate with YouTube creators. Through workshops and guidance, creators will learn best practices for producing content that is both entertaining and educational, supporting children’s growth while keeping audiences engaged.
The expanded partnership strengthens YouTube and YouTube Kids as go-to destinations for family-friendly programming. Alongside Sesame Street, families can enjoy favorites like Ms. Rachel, Doggyland, and Gabby’s Dollhouse, all in one convenient platform.
