The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us in different ways, and even celebrities are not spared. On Instagram, actress Sherilyn Reyes, made an emotional post after a stranger bashed her son, Ryle Santiago for being “papansin.”
The celebrity mom uploaded a screenshot on her Instagram, where a user made an issue of Ryle wearing sunglasses inside a mall. “Papansin akala mong sikat ka,” the netizen wrote.
In the photo’s caption, Sherilyn provided a lengthy reply to the netizen, saying it should be an example of why people should not judge others especially if they don’t know what that person is going through.
“’Wag maghusga ng tao dahil ‘di mo alam anong pinagdadaanan,” Sherilyn wrote, adding that Ryle wasn’t wearing sunglasses but a faceshield.
She also seemingly addressed other comments made towards her family. “Panay daw raket kami.

Sherilyn revealed the reason for their family’s financial struggles: someone swindled money from a business venture that she and her husband, former PBA player, Chris Tan, invested in. Currently, they are settling a huge amount of debt because of it.
“Sa kasamaang palad, na-swindle ako last year.
The mom of three also shared that she was a proud seller of Beautederm products because it is how she earns a living and it has also helped support her family.
In the end, the actress said that she is praying for the netizen. Sherilyn hopes that the netizen does not get to experience the challenges that their family is still going through.
