The country’s biggest and longest-running book fair is back, and Summit Books is once again going all out for readers in this bibliophiles’ paradise that attracts up to 120,000 visitors yearly.
The 39th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) happens this year from September 12 to 16 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Readers can find Summit Books at the 2nd floor in booths 211-215 and 228-229, where book launches, discounts, freebies, and the chance to meet their favorite authors await.
September 15 to 16 marks the highlight of Summit Books’ MIBF run, with day-long book launches and signings with Summit Books and Pop Fiction authors.
Photographer Shaira Luna makes her book debut with Playing Long After Us, a visual short story collection featuring prose by FHM Philippines editor-in-chief Anton D. Umali and In Case You Come Back author Marla Miniano. On September 15, 7-8 p.m., Shaira will be present to sign copies, which will be available for P395 each. Meanwhile, writer, musician, and TV personality Lourd De Veyra appears at the Summit Books booths on September 16, 7-8 p.m. to launch and sign copies of History with Lourd: Tsismis Noon, Kasaysayan Ngayon, also available onsite for P295 each.
