Sunshine Dizon Doesn't Accept Suitors Yet For A Valid Reason

It's been two years since the Kapuso actress's marriage was rocked by allegations of infidelity. Sunshine Dizon filed a concubinage case against ex-husband Timothy Tan, and another case for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children (R.A. 9262) law, but withdrew the charges in January 2017.

The estranged couple have since been on civil terms while peacefully co-parenting their two kids. Sunshine clarifies she and Timothy are not back together. 

Asked about filing for the annulment of their marriage, Sunshine doesn't seem to have a straight answer. "Talking about annulment, we’ll see," she said in an interview with Pep.ph. "Hindi ko pa alam din. Bahala na si Lord," she added. 

Sunshine, however, is doing great, even if her love life right now is non-existent. She shares that she doesn't feel alone and is thankful to be busy with several projects.

The mom of two is also not in a hurry to accept suitors for a valid reason: technically, she is still married to Tim. She says she doesn't want to repeat the offense that her estranged husband committed. 

"Kasi, di ba, napaka-unfair, ipinaglaban ko yun, e. Pero parang ibinalik ko rin yung kasalanan," Sunshine told Pep.ph on why she's firm on her decision not to accept suitors. "Kasal ako, ‘tapos I will entertain? Parang hindi maganda," she added. 

But Sunshine is not closing her doors to the prospect of a new romance. "Kung meron nga naman, ba’t nagpapa-choosy ka pa, e, nandiyan na nga, may magmamahal sa iyo, aayaw ka pa," the actress said. When that time comes, she said filing for annulment is an option. 

Sunshine is happy that her kids are getting the next best possible family setup, considering the events that happened in the past two years. She's glad that her kids still have a father figure in Timothy.

In April 2018, using a family photo taken during her daughter's seventh birthday celebration, Sunshine revealed that she and Timothy are working to get their marriage back on track. For now, she's happy to have a civil relationship with the father of her two children.
