Superkids 2010 Set at SMX

Early childhood education, one of the most important stages of child development, is a top priority for parents, and is a growing field involving educators and entrepreneurs.

For the first time in the Philippines, a trade fair is mounted to showcase consumer and trade products and services in child care, parenting, education, and other child development needs: Superkids 2010, set on Sept. 17-18 at Function Room 3 at the SMX Convention Center.

Mounted by professional events organizer Primetrade Asia, Inc. in partnership with early education group Maximus Inventus, and sponsored by Wyeth and Johnsons, Superkids 2010 brings together a host of exhibitors in an active learning experience designed to empower young children with learning sessions, workshops, and developmental activities.

Nurture Network, Wyeth’s online parenting resource hub for child development tips and lessons from child experts will be having a sign-up booth at the two-day Super Kids Fair 2010 for parents who are looking for additional and reliable information on child care and development.

Progress Pre-School Gold will also have an activity booth at the event, with their Minds in Progress Learning Center, a learning laboratory for kids facilitated by experts for the following subjects: math, reading and science--- fundamental subjects that they will encounter in school.

For kids with budding talent, the Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp will provide them with a venue to discover their potentials in the visual and performing arts. The Talent Camp will allow kids to explore their talents as their parents guide them through various mini-booths such as drawing / painting nooks and musical instruments stations.

A training hub that will test inner and physical strength, on the other hand, awaits kids at the Bonakid Pre-School Tibay Camp. Here kids go through energizing and invigorating obstacles to challenge their strength and confidence.

Special feature pavilions, such as “Toys Galore,” “Kraftsville” and “Glam Avenue” are expected to draw interest among visitors, while stage presentations, such as “Kids Got Talent” add fun and excitement to the event.

Pre-school teachers and parents will surely benefit from childcare and development seminars set in Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 at the 3rd floor of SMX:

• Understanding the Learning Access Modes of the 21st Century Child with speaker Dr. Ma. Teresa Gustilo-Villasor, a child and adolescent expert, who will delve on how the understanding of access modes of children will result to positive experiences for both teacher and student. Unique strategies for teachers will be shared as well. Slated at September 16, 9am to 12 pm.
• The 21st Century Learning Environment: Alternatives for the Classroom with speaker Ma. Carolina De Ocampo, educational consultant, who will discuss the newest learning environments where children can learn and create possibilities using varied approaches. Innovative learning and teaching will also be discussed. Slated at September 16, 1:30pm to 4:30 pm.
• Understanding the Communication styles of the 21st Century Child with speaker Dr. Ma. Teresa Gustilo-Villasor, a child and adolescent expert, edicated for parents with kids up to 12 years of age. The way children communicate in this age of technology will be tackled as well. Slated at September 17,9am to 12 pm.
• A Whole New kid-What makes the 21st Century Child Tick? With speaker Ma. Carolina De Ocampo, educational consultant, who will discuss the important skills of the 21st century child. Parents will find this seminar useful because strategies that will support their children will be discussed. Slated at September 17, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Superkids exhibitors include art schools, baby goods and accessories, banks and insurance companies, childcare centers, computer training schools, culinary schools/ institutes, dance academies, dental care providers, dietitians, educational consultants, educational materials, educational institutions, edutainment, e-learning providers, enrichment centers, entertainment, fashion, food specialties, furniture, grooming salons and healthcare providers.

Superkids 2010 also showcases exhibitors for indoor playgrounds, IT and telecom products, language, medical services, music schools, party favors and supplies, party planners, party venues, pet shops, pet accessories, pharmaceutical companies, play schools, preschools, sports and recreation, theme parks, therapy centers, travel and tourism, as well as toys, games and gizmos.

An entrance fee of P80 will allow visitors to gain access to the Super Kids Fair 2010. There will be no additional charges, however, to enjoy the Minds in Progress Learning Center, the Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp and the Bonakid Pre-School Talent Camp.
