'The Little Mermaid' Star Halle Bailey Has Given Birth To First Child

American singer and actress Halle Bailey is now a mom!

The 23-year-old actress who played Ariel in the 2023 live adaptation of Disney's The Little Mermaid has given birth to her first child. 

In an Instagram post on January 7, Halle shared a photo of two hands holding their little one, who's wearing a tiny gold bracelet with the name "Halo."

Halle wrote in the caption that she gave birth in 2023, and that giving birth to her son was "the greatest thing" the year has done for her.

"Welcome to the world my Halo," she added. "The world is desperate to know you."

Halle's baby daddy is her boyfriend, DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry, Jr. The 26-year-old American singer, rapper, and YouTuber also shared a similar photo on his Instagram, and wrote, "my biggest blessing by far [emojis]. son son.. never been so in love [emoji] baby halo."

Rumors that the two were dating started in January 2022, and DDG confirmed their relationship in March of the same year.

Since then, the couple has been spotted in events together, and spoke about each other  during interviews.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan in September 2023, Halle had this to say about her relationship with DDG, "This is my first deep, deep, real love.”

Congratulations, Halle! Welcome to the mom world!
