  • Hand it to Jollibee to set the lead for nostalgic tripping, 2018 style! 

    On the first day of 2018, the fast-food giant uploaded on Facebook a new commercial starring Aga and his wife Charlene and their twins Andres and Atasha, 12 years after they all starred in their first ad as a family back in Christmas 2006. It was also the first commercial endorsement of the twins who were 4 years old at the time and rarely seen in public.

    In the 2018 video that shows snippets of that first ad as part of Aga's recollections, a 16-year-old Andres is now driving the family car, a simple but effective way to drive home the point — we're old! Half-kidding aside, seeing the twins now ordering the food and singing "isa pa, isa pang, Chicken Joy" (a line all of our families have chanted at least once), well, it makes us want to hug our kids and say, "Don't grow up so fast!"

    Aga's Instagram post reminded us of how time flew when he used the hashtag "#25years" — that's how long he has been working with Jollibee, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. 

    Charlene also shared the post on her Instagram with the caption, "Mula noon hanggang ngayon... Forever in our hearts."

    Aga and Charlene, who looked gorgeous in the commercial, by the way, have always been protective of the twins' privacy growing up. We only know that Atasha has a talent in painting, and Andres is into basketball because their parents share it on their social media. They have Instagram accounts, but Atasha's in "private" setting, and Andres uses his account sparingly.

    The Pinoy public's interest in the Muhlach twins, however, has never waned. In fact, there are social media pages solely dedicated to posting photos of the twins. 

    As of this writing, the commercial on Facebook has gotten 1.2 million views and has been shared almost 4,000 times.
