This June, millions of Filipino children will go back to school as the new academic year opens. But there is also a large number of kids who won't have any classrooms to go back to, simply because there aren't enough.
At least 84,000 more classrooms are needed to bridge the gap on classroom deficits in the Philippines.
According to generationhope.ph, makers of Hope in a Bottle purified drinking water, "thousands of Filipino children still go to school without a proper classroom. They study in cramped environments or under the heat of the sun, resulting in lower grades and lower engagement levels."
When you buy school supplies this month, you can help out these kids by choosing "HOPE" notebooks--National Bookstore's (NBS) bestselling paper products that will help raise funds for public school classrooms. NBS will contribute up to 25% of the retail price from this collection to build public classrooms.
