  • 1. Danica Sotto Pingris proud of brother and dad of four Oyo

"Still can't get over the fact that you now have 4 kids!" wrote Danica as caption for a photo she posted on Instagram of her brother Oyo carrying his newborn son Baby Vin. "When we were young, sakit ng ulo ni Mommy sa kulit at takas days natin. Grabe lang! I'm a little teary-eyed while looking at this photo because I see how God has molded you into a great person. Brave, opinionated and a man of integrity! God is truly amazing!" Danica added. She added that she's truly proud of his brother "kahit minsan malakas ka pa din mang asar," Danica quipped. She used the hasthtag #SentiSaturday but it could also be a classy way of defending her brother. Just last week, Oyo confronted a basher that said he's dependent of his father Vic Sotto, who is also Baby Vin's namesake. Kristine Hermosa also fiercely defended her husband against people who think they know a lot about their family -- and she did not mince words. (pep.ph)

    2. Select K-12 students to get emotional wellness education
Beginning January 2017, students in select schools will receive emotional wellness education through a new program by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Education (DepEd). The Wellness Resilience for Filipino Youth will be conducted in Grades 4 to 12 classrooms for children ages nine to 18 to help build their psychological resilience as part of the government's suicide prevention and mental health programs. It aims to help students cope with anxiety, stress, and depression to lower suicide rates. What the students will tackle under the emotional wellness program are life skills such as self-awareness, communication skills, interpersonal relations, how to relate to others, family-building, establishing self-esteem, sexuality awareness, dealing with sexual harassment, tackling bullying and cyberbullying. They will have pre- and post-tests to gauge the efficacy of the module and to correctly adjust it to suit the needs of students. (gmanetwork.com)

    3. Pink is pregnant with baby number 2!

The Grammy-winning singer took to social media to share that she and motocross champ husband Carey Hart have another baby on the way. She kept the announcement short, sweet, and classy. "Surprise!," Pink wrote as caption for a very pregnant photo of her with daughter Willow Sage. "I have lived a lot of life in a very short time, and you get hardened a little bit — you get jaded, you build up walls. And when you see this little kid, and you get to watch them through infancy to toddler to little person, it’s amazing," she previously told People about motherhood. "When you watch this bundle full of love and light that’s untarnished and untainted by heartache and any of the numerous things that change you, it’s very healing. It’s a miracle," Pink added. She has previously expressed that she wants to add more to their family of three -- and now, soon, they'll be four. Congratulations! (people.com)

Baby Dream Kardashian joined Instagram in the cutest way. "Morning. It's bonding time with mommy!" reads the caption to the second post on the little one's very own Instagram account. Looks like Blac Chyna is also a breastfeeding advocate, as she posted a Snapchat video of her pumping breast milk. Baby Dream is Blac Chyna's first child with Rob Kardashian, but she is already a mom to four-year-old son King Cairo from a previous relationship. Rob and the rest of the Kardashians are over the moon with the new addition to the family. (eonline.com)

    5. McDonald's to launch new burgers next year

While McDonald's Italia had just launched its new Nutella Burger (yup, it's a thing there now!), McDonald's Philippines had just announced that it will have two "new" burgers come 2017 -- the Grand Mac and the Mac Jr., two twists on the Big Mac -- but only for a limited time. The Grand Mac is made with two 100-percent 1/3-pound pure beef patties with two slices of melty American cheese and iconic special sauce served on a larger sesame seed bun with crisp lettuce, California minced onions and tangy pickles. The Mac Jr. is a single-layer Big Mac that’s easier to eat on the go with its 100-percent pure beef patty. It is bigger and packs in all the flavor of the Big Mac without the middle bun.
