Top of the Morning: Paolo and Sam Valenciano Welcome a Baby Girl!

1. Gary V is now a lolo!

Mr. Pure Energy's son Paolo Valenciano and his wife Samantha Godinez welcomed their first child earlier today, November 2, at 1:21 a.m., according to ABS-CBN reporter Mario Dumawal. The baby girl, whom the couple chose to name Nataleia Martine, or Leia for short, weighed seven pounds and nine ounces at birth. "I'll never look at a mother the same way again. They are the superior species! I can't believe I'm a dad," Paolo said. Baby Leia is also Gary V's first apo. "I'm speechless, dumbfounded... blessed... 2. Ellie Eigenmann meets dad Jake's parents

"Last night was a good night," Jake wrote as caption to an Instagram photo of his daughter Ellie Eigenmann with his parents Laarni Enriquez and Mayor Joseph Estrada. It was the first time that he shared a photo of his four-year-old little girl with her grandparents since he admitted to the public that he is Ellie's biological dad. In other photos Jake posted, which has since been deleted (see screencaps here), Ellie is seen hugging her lolo Erap and lola Laarni. The meeting looked like a positive sign that his parents welcome the new addition to their family. Recently, Jake said in a statement that he only learned about a year ago that he is Ellie's biological dad, via a DNA test.

Incidentally, Ellie's other grandmother Jaclyn Jose reacted to Jake and Ellie's prince and princess Halloween costume photo which the former posted on Instagram. "She [has] always [been] a princess before you and will always be. I slayed all the dragons before you. You could have slayed the dragons before this. But you chose not to. You can’t all of a sudden slay. You do not have the tool," Jaclyn wrote in the comments of Jake's post. There were no replies to this comment from Jake. (pep.ph)


3. Watch: Paula Peralejo's week-old baby boy rolls over on his own

"Wait, did you do Pilates while in my womb, too?" writes the new mom as caption to a video of her baby Pablo rolling over on his own. According to What To Expect When You're Expecting, some newborns can actually roll onto one side to sleep in their very first days -- Baby Pablo did so at just four days old -- but most babies seem to lose the ability to roll onto their sides independently within the first month and would develop enough upper body strength to roll over on their own at three months. Still, the video amazed her Instagram followers so much and flooded her posts with comments such as "Amazing" and "He's so strong!" Nice one, Baby Pablo!


4. Cai Cortez flaunts baby bump in the pool

The pregnant comedienne posted a gorgeous photo of her floating in a pool wearing a one-piece swimsuit, with her baby bump in full view. "Dreaming of you. Imagining how you are floating in mommy's comfy belly," she wrote as caption. Cai has been hush-hush about the details of her pregnancy, not making public the pregnancy stage she's currently in. She announced she was expecting a baby boy with husband Wissem Rkhami just a month after their simple civil wedding ceremony on July 15.
