    3. Why babies’ smile
Researchers at the University of California, San Diego, say they have discovered why babies smile: Babies smile because they are trying to make whomever they are smiling to smile back at them. The study suggests that at four months, both moms and babies’ smiles are purposeful and goal-oriented. And babies have impeccable timing to get what they want—they know that if they stop smiling, their mom is likely to stop smiling, too. Researchers looked at babies four to 17 weeks and were able to determine babies’ goals based on their behavior. However, the study didn’t say if babies were consciously doing it. (yahoo.com)
