1. Jake Ejercito throws Ellie Eigenmann a post-birthday party!

A week after Ellie Eigenmann turned five, her dad Jake Ejercito threw him a birthday party with his family. The dad of one took to twitter to share snaps of the fairy-themed pool party. "Happy birthday, Tinkerbelle," he tweeted. It can be recalled that Ellie spent the eve of her birthday with her dad as they took an evening joyride with their heads out of the car's open sunroof. On her birthday, the little girl celebrated it with her mom Andi Eigenmann, lola Jaclyn Jose, and their family. Present during the post-birthday party were her cousins Isaiah, Jake's sister Jerika Ejercito's son and his half-sibling Elijah, Meryll Soriano's son, to name a few. 

Jake revealed to Pep.ph that the meeting between his daughter and his dad, former president and now Manila mayor Joseph Estrada, was unplanned. "We were in Tagaytay, it was All Souls' Day, All Saints' Day. In God’s perfect time, it just happened. My Dad was there, Ellie and I followed," he said. Jake shared there were tears of joy and that he "felt very relieved." "Eventually Ellie got to meet her grandfather, her Daddy Lolo... she calls him Daddy Lolo. Very relieved and happy," he added. 2. Oyo Sotto defends wife Kristine Hermosa from online basher

The dad of four did not mince words when he defended his wife from an online basher who tagged Kristine as "ingrata at maldita in person" and "santa santita" and allegedly treats her household helpers badly. The comment was posted on Kristine's sister Kathleen Hermosa's Instagram post that showed their whole family watching Enteng Kabisote 10. "Plano naming itreat mga kasambahay namin. They’re doing [their] job so wala kang pakialam," Oyo wrote in response. "Ngingiti ba sila kung hindi sila Masaya??" he added. Even Kristine's sister Kathleen Hermosa snapped back: "You actually know that this account is her sister's and you want me to react violently or lose my manners because of all your nonsense. You already lost because I will not reply to meaningless words... Please find someone else to read to do something productive rather than talking trash," she said. (pep.ph)


3. Watch: Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo's save-the-date video

"You'll never know when love will surprise you," Paul Jake recalls in the video when he first caught a glimpse of Kaye. "She was everything I didn't know I was looking for. She was the part that was missing from my heart," he added. At the end, Kaye's voice over said, "You, my love, have become my reality". Details of the wedding, such as the date, have not been made public, but it has been reported that they will say their vows in front of 900 people. 4. Chito Miranda laments leaving house and baby for work

Jusko...ang hirap umalis ng bahay!” the new dad wrote as caption for an Instagram post which is a selfie with his new baby, Alfonso III. For sure, many parents can relate, as a lot of his followers offered words of support. As to whether Alfonso looks more like his mom or his dad, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman's followers couldn't decide. Some say he looks like Chito, while others says he takes after his mom, Neri Naig. 5. Watch: new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer

Baby Groot steals the show in this new trailer for the much-anticipated Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 movie. The oh-so-cute and adorable character is shown in the teaser having an exchange with Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) who is relaying instructions to the walking-talking tree (voiced by Vin Diesel) about not pushing the bomb's blow-up button. Of course, all he said in repl was "I am Groot!" over and over again, and then skips to the horizon with the bomb in his hand, which may not be a good sign. Also, taking off from the first trailer, we also get to see an awkward scene where an alien psychic reads and broadcasts to the team what Star Lord (voiced by Chris Pratt) is thinking (embarrasing, really).
