    Soon-to-be mom and TV host Bianca Gonzales prepared a surprise treat for husband and pro baller JC Intal when the latter arrived from Taiwan where he competed for national team Gilas Pilipinas—it’s the nursery for their coming baby girl! JC posted a sneak peek video of their baby Lucia’s room on Instagram, starting with a sweet note from Bianca. He captioned the video, “Came home to this!!! You are the sweetest Mrs. Intal!” The nursery already has a few baby things, and Bianca will surely have it ready soon as she nears her due date.     2. Ellen DeGeneres picks Filipino-American girl for new girl power campaign

    Twelve-year-old Alexey Damian Poblete has been picked by Hollywood celebrity and TV host Ellen DeGeneres for her campaign on girl empowerment. Alexey has serious drum skills and Ellen, who has previously featured Filipino talents such as singers Charice Pempengco and Zendee Rose Tenerefe, was in awe of Poblete's talent. The drum prodigy will not only be featured on billboards across the U.S. but also in magazines globally.     3. Another baby girl for Matt Evans?

    Kapamilya actor Matt Evans could be having another baby girl! He posted on Instagram an ultrasound photo of his new baby with wife Katrina Farinas, with the caption, “Nakadapa ang bunso ko. Pero mukhang baby girl na naman! 70% girl daw. Okay lang basta healthy!” The couple first announced that they’re expecting their second child in June.     4. Filipino doctors develop new medical record-tracking app

    Kevin Dineros and Jan Dipasupil, both doctors and co-founders of the Humouno startup, developed the Humouno MD app to help patients and doctors keep track of patients’ medical records without the tedious and repetitive filling out of forms. The app also eliminates the need for patients to recall details of previous consultations, which enables doctors to efficiently diagnose, prescribe proper medication, and identify possible health problems in the future.     Parents, are you spending too much time on your phone? Being too attached to your cell phone might lead you to develop nomophobia, or the fear of being without your phone. If you’re unsure of how to answer that question, researchers at the Iowa State University have developed a questionnaire to help you. Study participants were asked to rate the questionnaire's statements on a scale of 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree), and their total scores were added.
