1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcome son
The celerity power couple welcomed their second child, a son, last Saturday, December 5. The arrival of the new baby was announced on Kim Kardashian's website and app. According to the website, "Mother and son are doing well." The two are already parents to daughter two-year-old North. We have yet to get word on the new baby's name. While Kim have said before that she likes the named Easton, she also admitted that Kanye might go for a totally different name. Congratulations! 2. Fast and Furious actor buys his daughter an island
Model-turned-actor Tyrese Gibson of the Fast and Furious film franchise revealed that he recently bought his eight-year-old daughter Shayla an island as a Christmas gift. "She knows about it and the island is called Love Island. I'll be putting in up on my Facebook soon," said Gibson when he was asked what was the most lavish or over-the-top gift he received. 3.First full trailer for All You Need is Pag-ibig is here!
One of the official entries to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival has just released its full trailer to give the audience a sneak peek of what to expect in the film--which is a collection of different love stories. All You Need Is Pag-ibig is directed by Antoinette Jadaone, the same director of the indie romantic comedy hit film That Thing Called Tadhana. The star-studded movie will feature Ian Veneracion, Jodi Sta. Maria, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Derek Ramsay, and Kris Aquino, to name a few. All You Need is Pag-ibig will open on Christmas Day. 4. Watchful parents may mean less risky sexual behavior for teens
Adolescence is a tricky stage both for parent and child, especially when it comes to discussing alcohol, violence, and sex. A new study suggests that when parents were aware of their teen kids' activities, the kids wait longer to engage in sex and were more likely to use protection. The study published in the journal Pediatrics says watchful monitoring, particularly openly talking to them about sex, helps tremendously as teens in return also feel safe about asking questions about sex. This could be teaching moments for parents to guide their kids accordingly. (gmanetwork.com)
5. $200,000 raised for father of six killed in mass shooting
When news of a mass killing in San Bernardino, California, an online crowd funding campaign was launched to support a widow and six children of Michael Raymond Wetzel who was killed in the shooting. The campaign has now raised $200,000 in 24 hours and it's still growing. The YouCaring fundraising page was established Thursday by Lil’ Mamas, a website and support group for moms which Michael's wife Renee is a member.
