The Queen of All Media shared how the family has come to accept her son Josh's condition. "Kailangan talaga as a family, you let go of [denial], because you really have to accept. You also have to accept that there will be so many limitations. But as long as you shower your child with love... Ikaw rin as a mom give yourself some love also, kasi mahirap," she advised other parents who may be in the same situation. Kris knows that financial stability helps and admitted that it's tough hearing negative feedback about Josh, especially since they are a public figure. "As a family, I think the most important thing is that you talk about it. We used to sweep it under the rug. Until we all got so used to it already, and it became a part of our lives," she said. The actress-host does not expect a miracle cure for Josh, now 21 years old, but is thankful knowing that her son is fit, healthy, and is able to communicate. (pep.ph)
2. Report: Zsa Zsa Padilla back together with Conrad Onglao
According to Ricky Lo's column FunFare in the Philippine Star, the singer-actress confirmed with him that she is indeed back together with architect Conrad Onglao. It can be recalled that Zsa Zsa broke off their engagement in May 2016, but did not elaborate on the reason. "We tried. It didn't work out," was the only statement the Divine Diva made at that time. Lo's report did not say if Zsa Zsa and Conrad's engagement is back on, nor did it elaborate on how they got back together. However, he asked Zsa Zsa if this time around, she wants the relationship to be her forever. "God willing," was her reply. (pep.ph)
3. Kaye Abad shares wedding details
It's going to be a destination wedding in Cebu this December for Kaye and Paul Jake Castillo. "Noong bata pa ako gusto ko malaking wedding. Gusto ko ng parang mala-princess… Noong tumanda na ako, gusto ko na lang siya ng mas simple. Mas gusto ko 'yung intimate, kumbaga 'yung family lang talaga 'yung nandiyan, 'yung mga close friends. Pero hindi rin siya mangyayari. Kasi malaki 'yung family ni Paul Jake so I guess it’s going to be a big wedding,” Kaye shared. Kaye also revealed that she has put her complete trust on designer Francis Libiran for her wedding gown. Kaye and Paul Jake's exact wedding date has not yet been announced. (abs-cbn.com)
4. A breastfeeding emoji soon?ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Registered nurse Rachel Lee last month proposed a breastfeeding emoji to Unicode, the creator of the emoji keyboard. "I propose adding an emoji for breastfeeding as a complement to the existing baby bottle emoji, and to complete the set of family emojis," she said. "The lack of a breastfeeding emoji represents a gap in the Unicode Standard, given the prevalence of breastfeeding in cultures around the world, and throughout history," Lee adds. She thinks a breastfeeding emoji would be a hit, citing that there are three million nursing mothers in the U.S. at any given time. According to an Emojipedia survey, breastfeeding is also one of the top 30 most-requested emojis of 2016. (people.com)
5. M&M has a new flavor!ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
While it has experimented with flavors before, this is the first time that the makers of M&M chocolates is introducing a caramel-filled candy in its 75-year history. Instead of the classic chocolate filling, each bite-sized candy -- a bit larger than the regular M&Ms -- will have a soft-caramel center encased in its usual crisp chocolate coating. "It was a big technological challenge for us. We never before had an M&M lentil with a true soft center, so we had to figure out how to not make the chocolate too sticky or too soft that it could collapse," Mars Chocolate vice president of research and development Hank Izzo said. The public, however, would have to wait until May 2017 to get a taste of the new Caramel M&Ms. (cnn.com)
