Her parents chose to mark her first birthday last November 23 with an intimate gathering at the place where they had their first date, but baby Zia isn't done celebrating! The birthday girl had two more parties over the weekend: she spent Saturday with her ninongs and ninangs at Makati Shangri-La Hotel, complete with a six-tier teddy bear-themed birthday cake. Among those who attended were Bettina Carlos and daughter Gummy, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and Gabby Eigenmann, to name a few. On Sunday, baby Zia had a zoo-themed birthday party at Kindermusik with her 'classmates'. On both occasions, Marian and Zia wore twinning outfits. (pep.ph)

During their wedding last November 25, there wasn't a dry eye as the couple said their vows. Rufa Mae and now-husband Trev Magallanes' same-day edit video was posted by Teena Barretto Events on Facebook, and some of the most memorable moments of the wedding were captured in it: "I always pray to have a family of my own. It's my dream, and now, it's a reality. Yes, my dreams came true. You gave your life, your surname, your love, and your fruit of love, our little one," Rufa Mae said in her vows. As the tears flowed, laughter was also heard as Rufa Mae's fun personality shone through. "I know that you said that I sacrifice a lot for you, but the reality is it was well worth it and it was the best decision I ever made," read part of Trevor's vows. "I just want to make sure that you're happy for the rest of your life," he added. (abs-cbn.com)

You've seen their pre-nup photos, and now the couple has released their save-the-date video. The former schoolmates, whose paths crossed in California 20 years after they last saw each other, shot their prenup in the same place for sentimental reasons.  "This is where our story began, where we got to know each other, knew we could never be apart. Long distance wasn't easy but we managed to get through it with the grace of God. A lot of sacrifices had to be made so we could be where we are today," Camille's voice over said. "I look forward to spending every waking hour with you and hold your hand every single day to forever." The video was shot by Nice Print Photography. Camille and VJ are set to marry in January 2017. Kaye and Paul Jake's new pre-wedding shoot with wedding blog Bride and Breakfast is all about simplicity, elegance, and understated sophistication. The set was styled by K. By Cunanan and the photos were shot by Jaja Samaniego. Kaye wore an off-shoulder tulle gown, while Paul Jake donned a pale brown suit. Their much-anticipated wedding next month, which was originally planned to be an intimate one, will be held in Cebu in front of 900 guests, almost all of them from Paul Jake's side of the family. The reception will be held at Radisson Blu Cebu, a five-star hotel. Kaye had also revealed that her wedding's theme is rustic and will follow the motif pistachio green. The exact date for the wedding has not been announced. (abs-cbn.com)

    5. 29 Pinoy athletes headed to Sochi Winter Games in February 2017
They are set to represent the Philippines in the 2017 Asian Winter Games happening from February 19 to 26 in Sapporo, in the island of Hokkaido, in Japan. This is the first time the country is sending such a large delegation to the winter games, a quadrennial tournament. Of the 29 athletes, 23 are members of the hockey team, while four are figure skaters headlined by Michael Christian Martinez, who was the country's lone representative during the 2014 Winter Games. This year, Martinez will be joined by figure skaters Jules Alpe, Shayane Casapao and Samantha Cabiles. The other two competitors are Ryan Espiritu, who will see action in snowboarding, and Kathryn Magno, who will compete in speed skating. Almost all of the athletes are first-timers except for Martinez, but Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) chairman Tom Carrasco remains optimistic about them bringing home medals. (manila.coconuts.co)
