    The Filipino Ice Prince scored a gold medal at the Triglav Trophy, an annual international figure-skating competition, held this year in Jesenice, Slovenia. Even after falling several times while attempting difficult moves in his short program, Michael Martinez emerged strong in the free skating round. He posted several photos on his Facebook page and thanked his fans for their support and prayers. This is the second time Michael bagged gold from the same tournament. (gmanetwork.com)

    2. Two-year-old Thai girl youngest to be cryogenically frozen
    Thailand’s Matheryn Noavaratphong, 2, is being held in cryofreeze and her brain extracted and preserved in a stainless steel vacuum filled with liquid nitrogen until a cure for her condition is found, online magazine Motherboard reports. In 2014, she was diagnosed with ependymoblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer that occurs in very young children. Since then, she has had 12 brain surgeries, 20 chemotherapy treatments and 20 radiation therapy sessions, but in November 2014, cancer spread across her brain and she succumbed to the disease.     3. A new trailer for “Jurassic World” is out!
    The latest trailer for Steven Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park” is out and gives us a better look at its huge dinosaurs and the new genetically modified dino. The new king of the dinos, the Indominus Rex, appears more ruthless and more intelligent than the almighty T-Rex -- she ate her sibling and is killing other dinos just for the fun of it. The movie promises a thrilling ride, and isn’t short on light moments either with Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) as one of the movie’s leads. The film opens on June 12. (huffingtonpost.com)


    4. Kraft eliminates synthetic colors from mac and cheese product
    Kraft Foods Group released a statement on April 20 that it’s revamping its family-friendly and kid-favorite macaroni and cheese meal: It will no longer contain artificial preservatives or dyes that make it orange. The change is a result of consumers’ demand for products that are healthier, organic, and less processed. The change will be effective by January 2016 for “Original Kraft Macaroni & Cheese” products sold in the U.S. The company is also working on addressing demands for improved nutrition and “simpler ingredients.” (nydailynews.com)

    5. Ara Mina shares photos of sibling with their kids
    Actress Ara Mina posted on Instagram a photo of her with her sisters Heidi Gatmaytan and actress Cristine Reyes and their babies, and a throwback photo from when all three sisters were pregnant. In the caption, Ara wrote: My sisters with our babies Amanda, Amarah and Alison… The picture below was taken last year nung pregnant pa kami.” She also posted a video of the new additions to their family—her daughter Amanda, Cristine’s daughter Amarah, and Heidi’s daughter Alison.
