  • Top of the Morning: Pinoy Fan Makes Miss Universe 2015-inpired Doll

  • 1. Pinoy fan created a Miss Universe 2015-inpired doll

Ian Mendajar is such a fan of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach that he made a doll in her image and likeness. His most recent creation is a doll depicting Wurtzbach's coronation night, wearing the blue evening gown and the Miss Universe crown. We say most recent because Mendajar had previously created three dolls with The Miss Universe 2015 as his inspiration. There's a one where she's wearing her Binibining Pilipinas national costume, another wearing the crown and dress she wore when she won Binibining Pilipinas Miss Universe, and a third doll recreating her Star Magic Ball appearance. This is not the first time Mendajar made dolls in the image and likeness of Pinay beauty queens; he has made dolls inspired by Miss Universe 2012 runner up Janine Tugonon and Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Colis. Both of them take hormones but have not undergone gender reassignment surgery. So far, the church leaders over in their side of the globe have remained silent, which Rodriguez says is a good surprise. (foxnews.com

    4. Ultrasound may help test for breast cancer
A new study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute claims that ultrasonography can help diagnose cancer in women with dense breasts. The researchers looked at data from almost 3,000 women across the U.S., Canada, and Argentina, who each had three screenings over three years via mammography and ultrasonography. Both tests identified around the same number of cancers. Mammography detected non-invasive cancers. On the other hand, the ultrasound was better at detecting invasive ones but also had the most false alarms. Doctors would have to rely on their own judgment, or use both screening tests to give them more data to base a patient's treatment going forward. (gmanetwork.com
