2. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively make their first public appearance with their daughters
The Deadpool actor was honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, December 15, and who better to accompany him than his family -- his whole family, that is, including his two daughters, and wife Blake Lively. Since the couple welcomed James, now almost two years old, and their second daughter whom they welcomed in September this year (whose name has not been released), this is the first time the public had a good look at them as Ryan and Blake had refrained from posting their photos on social media. "This is one of the rare occasions when we thought we got to bring the whole clan," Ryan told Extra. "I’d regret it in 20 years if I didn’t." During the ceremony, he thanked Blake in his own funny way. "You are the best thing, the best thing that has ever happened to me -- second only to this star. You make everything better, absolutely everything in my life better. You’ve made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential." Aww. (people.com)

Good news -- all state college universities in the Philippines will soon be offering free higher education to Filipinos. 4. Andi Eigenmann on Jake Ejercito's openness to being a father to Ellie
"If he’s happy with his life being a dad, being comfortable saying it, shouting it to the world, good for him," the single mom said when asked about her thoughts on Ellie's dad Jake Ejercito now being open to sharing their father-and-daughter relationship on social media. "For me kasi, it’s not really what the media or the public thinks. It’s never about that to me, because I know that it’s so impossible for them to be able to find out exactly what’s happening in our personal lives," Andi explained. "Kung sa kanya maganda na ginagawa niya ito, e, di okay. Ang habol ko lang is that he’s been in the good state in his life forever for him to be the best dad for my daughter," she added. Andi said that she can breathe more easily now that the secret about Ellie's biological dad is out, and is thankful even if the truth was revealed in an unconventional way. Andi said she's also happy with her non-showbiz boyfriend of more than a year, Emilio Arambulo. (pep.ph)
