3. DOH confirms 3 new Zika cases
The three new cases are all female patients who manifested symptoms, particularly rashes, fever, and joint pains. Two of the patients are from Iloilo and one is from Antipolo City. "We now have 15 confirmed cases out of 264 suspected Zika virus cases reported nationwide from January 1 to October 4," said Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial. Of the 15, 11 are female, including one 20-week-pregnant woman from Cebu. Ubial had said that they are monitoring the baby on a weekly basis and so far, they have found no signs of congenital or central nervous system defects on the fetus. Zika has been linked to cause microcephaly, a congenital neurological defect on newborn babies born to mothers who contracted the illness. (inquirer.net)

The YouTube Kids app has password-protected parental controls which allow you to tweak the settings, depending on how broadly you'd allow your kids to explore, as well as tag videos that you think are inappropriate.
