1. Sarah Geronimo is the newest Disney princess!
Another Filipino singer lends her voice to a Disney. Pinoy popstar princess and The Voice Philippines judge Sarah Geronimo has just been tapped to record her interpretation of the song “The Glow” from the Disney movie Tangled. On a teaser aired on Disney Channel, Sarah revealed that her recording and its music video of the song would premiere on December 6, 2014. (pep.ph)

2. Dad witnesses birth of son via FaceTime
Social media has come a long way in connecting people. Evan Longoria, third baseman of the Major League Baseball team Tampa Bay Rays watched the birth of his son via FaceTime, while he was away representing the Major League Baseball in the Japan series. 3. SpongeBob-inspired car is real
Car manufacturer Toyota recently unveiled at the L.A. Auto Show a SpongeBob SquarePants car. Yes, you read that right. The car is blue and yellow, and has a ship’s steering wheel instead of a car’s. The iconic cartoon character’s big eyes are on the windshield and his buck-tooth grin on the engine’s roof. The car’s roof even features SpongeBob’s Superhero Incredibubble mask and blows real bubbles. It’s just in time to promote the SpongeBob 3D movie, which will be shown in February 2015. 4. Rio unveils 2016 Olympic mascots
The official mascots for the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics have just been introduced to the public. The Olympic mascot (in yellow) is a fusion of all of Brazil’s animals, while the Paralympics mascot (in green) symbolizes the country's flora. “They represent our joy, our way of being. Both of them are magical creatures with super powers and relate naturally with the young audience, who we want to engage with our event so much,” says Rio 2016 brand director Beth Lula. Names for the two mascots have been proposed, including Oba and Eba, Tiba Tuque and Esquindim, and Vinicius and Tom. The winning names will be announced in December. 5. The world’s biggest solar-powered mall is in PH
The SM City North Edsa is now the world’s largest solar-powered mall. A total of 5,760 solar panels installed at the rooftop of the mall’s multi-level car park were switched on yesterday morning, November 24. SM Malls partnered with Solar Philippines to build solar panels, which will generate 1.5-MegaWatts of power, and create up to 2 million in monthly savings for the mall.
