    5. Funny new book puts a parenting spin on a children's book classic

New book Where The Wild Moms Are is author Katie Blackburn's different take--a humorous reinterpretation, if you will--on the children's book classic Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. Blackburn, also a mom to a two-year-old, loves the children's book so much that she decided to pay tribute to it in her own way. She also dedicates her version to moms everywhere, whom she also refers to as heroes. "It's a nod to how much moms do just to keep it all together," she told The Huffington Post. The book tells the story of a mom who's looking for a break in her hectic home life, and ultimately would have to decide between her escape fantasy and her family. Where The Wild Moms Are is already available on Amazon.com. (huffingtonpost.com
