  • We may be months away from November, Scarlett Kramer’s birth month, but that didn't stop dad Doug Kramer from trying to get his little girl the birthday gift of her dreams.

In a video posted on the Team Kramer Facebook page and on Scarlet's mom Chesca Kramer’s Instagram account, Doug made a plea to Bobby from the Korean pop (K-pop) group iKon.

“Scarlett is celebrating her seventh birthday this coming November, so matagal pa. Kaya lang, she's already asking for a birthday present — a request that I can't afford,” the dad said. As of writing, the Facebook video has been viewed over 940,000 times.

What did the 6-year-old girl ask for? “She wants Bobby of iKon, the K-pop singer who sang 'Saranghae,' to perform or sing for her at her birthday.” Adds the dad playfully, “I can't afford you, Bobby. Discount? 90 percent?”

According to Doug, Scarlett learned about iKon from the Kramer household yayas whom he said has “hypnotized” the Kramer siblings — Kendra, Scarlett, and Gavin — with the group’s songs. With tears streaming down her cheeks, little Scarlett said, “Bobby, can you please go to my birthday?” before cracking into giggles.

“I need all your help. Team Kramer fans, make this video go viral. Paabutin niyo kay Bobby. Sige na, please,” said Doug, with the rest of the household heard giggling in the background.

Fans did not disappoint. Within an hour, Bobby posted a (very early) birthday greeting for Scarlett on Instagram Stories. Another member of iKon, Kim Dong-Hyuk, was in the video message too.

“Hey Scarlet, this is Uncle Bobby,” he said, and sang and danced along to a few lines of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.” He added, “I don’t know if this is appropriate for you, but happy birthday!” He also tagged mom Chesca in the video.

All the Kramer siblings were over the moon. The Kramer parents posted reaction shots of the kids’ shocked, happy faces.

The kids thanked the singer with Scarlett giving out a message of her own. “It's not my birthday but it's going to be my best birthday ever even if it's advanced,” she said. “Saranghae, Bobby!”

With all the excitement, Chesca had to push back bedtime. “It's feels like New Years Eve for the kids and everybody at home... We are staying up and not sleeping tonight!!! Goodbye sleeping early for school!” she said on Instagram

Doug also thanked Bobby with a caption on a post that read, “You made Scarlett and my kids so happy, so I love you na also!” Looks like the entire Team Kramer household has caught the hallyu fever. Advanced happy birthday, Scarlett!
