In celebration of National Women’s Month, several organizations and government agencies are offering special perks and free services for women this March. From free train rides and museum promos to complimentary civil documents, these initiatives aim to recognize women while making everyday services a little more accessible.

Here are some Women’s Month perks available in and around Metro Manila

Free birth and marriage certificates from PSA

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is offering free copies of birth and marriage certificates to women every Monday this March.

Female clients can visit select Civil Registry System (CRS) outlets across Metro Manila to avail of the free documents. Women must present at least one valid ID when transacting.

The PSA notes that the number of free certificates issued per outlet is limited, so it’s best to go early to secure yours.

Buy one, bring a friend free at Ayala Museum

Women who want to celebrate Women’s Month with a cultural day out can head to Ayala Museum in Makati City.

Throughout March, the museum is offering a “Bring a Friend” promo for women. For every regular or discounted full-access ticket purchased by a female visitor, she can bring one companion to the museum for free.

The offer runs from March 1 to 31. Guests can simply walk in and purchase tickets at the museum’s counter, with no pre-booking required.

Special Women’s Month Promo at A Museum

Celebrate Women’s Month at A Museum with a special promo for two guests, valid for at least one woman companion, at P1,499. The museum is on the 3rd floor of Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City and is open Mondays to Sundays from 12 noon to 9 p.m., with last call at 7 p.m. Book online at https://amusements.global/product/amuseum-womens-month/.

Free train rides on International Women’s Day

Female commuters can also enjoy free rides on two Metro Manila train lines on March 8, which marks International Women's Day.

The Department of Transportation announced that women may ride the following train lines for free during designated hours:

  • LRT Line 2: March 8, 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • MRT Line 3: March 8, 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Women can simply go to any station during the scheduled hours to avail of the free ride.

Free park entrance on March 8

Women who prefer a quieter outdoor activity can visit Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City on March 8.

Female visitors will enjoy free entrance to the park from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on International Women’s Day. The nature park is known for its lagoon, wildlife sanctuary, and shaded walking paths, making it a relaxing spot for families and friends.

These Women’s Month promos are little ways for women to treat themselves and feel celebrated. Simple perks like these can brighten the month and remind women to take a moment for themselves.
