    Top #1 Ascott Makati

    Makati City, Metro Manila

Surprised? We are, too, but it makes sense that Ascott Makati has become a favorite among Tripadvisor users. You can't beat the location since you're right inside Ayala Center. You don't need to travel far for anything you may have forgotten, and it is relatively near the airport. For big families especially when balikabayans visit, Ascott Makati's rooms that come with a fully-equipped kitchen is a huge plus. It also has a pool, children's play area, aerobics room and gym, Jacuzzi and steam room, and more.

TripAdvisor review: “Staff is accommodating. You have all means of transportation, and it is strategically located near malls, restaurants and business district. Stayed countless times with friends or family to celebrate different milestones in life and even for a staycation.” (December 2017)

    Top #2 Hotel Kimberly

    Tagaytay City, Cavite

Here's another favorite for many families because it's just in Tagaytay. Hotel Kimberly has an outdoor playground, a kiddie pool, a game room, a mini farm (there are rabbits the kids can feed!), and lots of space to roam and run. Don't forget to ask the lobby about their movie and bonfire nights as well.

TripAdvisor review: “The kids loved Hotel Kimberly. One does not need to leave the hotel as there were many varied activities within the hotel — animal feeding, horseback riding, swimming, and their playroom was pretty cool. Room service even sent us a glass of fresh milk with Oreo cookies after dinner. My kids can't wait to go back again!” (October 2017)

Top #3 Plantation Bay Resort and Spa

    Lapu Lapu, Cebu

Based on the experience of one of our editorial staff, she isn't surprised this came in at third. This resort in Cebu is for pool-obsessed families — you can even pick a villa where the balcony is directly connected to the pool! The resort itself is stunning — just look at those lagoons! Plus, they offer loads of water sports and outdoor activities for both kids and adults including go-carts, archery, and more. You will also never go hungry with its five restaurants where the food is top notch.

TripAdvisor review: “This resort is so beautiful and complete with amenities inside that you don't have to go out the resort anymore. It has shops, bars, different water activities that you can do in their human-made lagoons, rock climbing, go-cart for kids, archery and a lot more. You can even go cliff diving!” (October 2017)

    Top #4 Seda Nuvali

    Sta. Rosa, Laguna

Another family favorite is Seda Nuvali. Those who can't take the traffic in Tagaytay settle for Nuvali because it has a lot to offer for a weekend family bonding (check out our story here). And this hotel is in the middle of it all. It has a pool, a children's playroom, a game room (with gaming consoles, an air hockey table, and more), a gym, and a massage room. And if the sun's out, the whole family can enjoy the jogging and bike trails

TripAdvisor review: “Since it was our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday, the hotel gave us a complimentary cake decorated with a 'Happy Anniversary' around it. Our toddler loved the outdoor pool! The shallow water (2 feet) is perfect for little kids. If you are looking for something close to town that does not cost an arm and a leg, Seda is the place to go.” (November 2017)

Top #5  The Manor at Camp John Hay

    Baguio, Benguet

You just can't help but relax when you're in a luxury wood cabin at The Manor at Camp John Hay. The rooms are spacious and come with a balcony overlooking the forest and mountains. Stroll through the gardens to enjoy the crisp Baguio air, and let the kids run around the play area.

TripAdvisor review: “When we vacation in Baguio, we always stay in this hotel. It's perfect for a family with three kids! We usually eat at their Le Chef restaurant, and the kids can run around their big garden. Christmas season is also fun-filled with lots of activities for kids.” (September 2017)

    Top #6 The Mabuhay Manor

    Pasay City, Metro Manila

The Mabuhay Manor is a great budget-friendly staycation pick. Celebrating the colorful Pinoy culture from decor to furniture, they also have traditional Filipino games available in the lobby and delicious Filipino food at their restaurant. Kids will enjoy their pool, too.

TripAdvisor review: “For a family of five, our room suit our needs perfectly. There's also a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave. Location is great! Close to almost everything. Their staff is very friendly and courteous! The breakfast buffet is awesome! You get your money's worth when you stay in Mabuhay Manor! Staying here feels like home.” (July 2017)

Top #7 JPark Island Resort and Waterpark

    Lapu Lapu, Cebu

JPark Island Resort and Waterpark is like Disneyland for kids who love water. It features five swimming pools, three water slides, a lazy river, and a private beach. They also have go-carts, mini golf, and more activities at their J Activity Zone. Ask for their available water sports activities too.

TripAdvisor review: “We got the Mactan suite which was huge. It had two separate toilets, a shower, and a tub. It also had a bar, with a microwave, where you can have your meals. My son truly enjoyed the waterpark. We just rode on the lazy river, twice, and it was quite refreshing!” (January 2018)

    Top #8 Infinity Resort

    Puerto Galera, Mindoro

Infinity Resort, aptly named considering its infinity pool, offers a fantastic view of the blue sea and the lush mountains. Aside from the pool, the kids will enjoy the entertainment room equipped with game consoles and more. Guests sing praises to the resort's very accommodating staff. Though a little pricey, guests also say booking here is worth it.

TripAdvisor review: “Infinity Resort is such a great place to stay and unwind! My family and I truly enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are well-appointed, with ample amenities and they're so cozy. We couldn't get enough of the centerpiece of the resort, the infinity pool; we stayed there for hours. But more than the place, what made our stay enjoyable were the friendly and attentive staff led.” (May 2017)

Top #9 Two Seasons Coron Island Resort & Spa

    Coron, Palawan

For a truly luxurious trip, book a stay at Two Seasons Coron Island, a five-star resort. A stretch of land surrounded by sea and mountains, everywhere you look would be a sight to behold. Amenities include two beaches (one facing the sunrise and the other the sunset!), adult and kiddie pools, a children's playroom and game room, a spa, several water sports activities, and more.

TripAdvisor review: “The place was top notch. We went around the island in a golf cart, which was just one call away. It took us wherever we wanted to be it short or long. Our kids loved to swim, and the kiddie pool was big, which was a joy for our 2-year-old. The breakfast buffet certainly was a treat, too. Four days and three nights were fun for us.” (September 2017)

Top #10 Sunset at Aninuan Beach Resort

    Puerto Galera, Mindoro

Looking for a budget-friendly beach vacation that doesn't skimp on comfort and fun? Head to Sunset at Aninuan Beach Resort in Puerto Galera. It's a beachfront resort and perfect for lazy sunny days with more than enough lounge chairs to choose. Guests love the resort's tasteful design, the view it provides, accommodating staff, and many activities on offer.

TripAdvisor review: “Three generations of our family stayed here for two nights before Christmas. What a delightful experience it turned out to be. The location is idyllic with the hotel looking out onto a long sandy beach offering safe swimming for the children. For a less energetic pastime, you may relax under palms in one of the numerous hammocks, or loungers provided along the beachfront.” (January 2018)
