5 Adventure and Nature Parks Just Outside Metro Manila

  • Got any plans this weekend? Here’s something fun and adventurous you and the kids can do: go to an adventure park! There are a few to choose from that’s just outside Metro Manila, perfect for a day trip or an overnight mini-vacation. 

    1. Treetop Adventure
    Where: Subic, Zambales
    Entrance fee: P100



    Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and head for nature at Tree Top Adventure. Set in the middle of tall trees and wildlife, the whole family can start off nice and easy with their Trekking Adventure. Then thrill-seeking big kids and brave parents can go on the Canopy Ride where you get to travel through trees 100 feet above ground or the Silver Surfer where you can "surf" the treetops with a buddy and many more. Kids aged 7 and above are allowed on slow-paced rides, and kids aged 10 and above can go on fast-paced rides. 

    2. Camp N
    Where: Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna 
    Entrance fee: P80



    There’s already loads to do in Nuvali (outdoor activities, bird watching, fish-feeding, shopping and dining) and the recently opened Camp N gives you even more reasons to go. Camp N has more than 10 activities and courses to get through ranging from beginner to intermediate like ziplines, aerial walks, wall climbs, obstacle courses and more. Little ones, on the other hand, can enjoy Camp N’s Strider play areas, biking trails, camping grounds and organic farm.

    3. Camp Explore
    Where: Mount Purro Nature Camp, Antipolo, Rizal

    Camp Explore is primarily a campsite that offers planned programs for the young and old.  But, it also has attractions and activities for those looking for a quick getaway. They have a hiking trail and biking trails. For big kids and adults, they have an obstacle course and rope course. And if you’re looking to extend your stay, you can pitch a tent or opt to sleep in one of their cozy cottages and cabins. Wake up to the lush scenery and enjoy the rest of what they have to offer like a bonfire, a pool, a spa and a game room for the kids. 

    4. Pugo Adventure
    Where: Pugo, La Union
    Entrance fee: Adults at P200; Kids at P150



    It's a longer drive to Pugo Adventure, but then there is an abundance of things to do once you're there. Some attractions and activities the whole family may want to try: six kinds of ziplines, the Giant Swing and rappelling. For those not afraid to get wet, they also rent paddle boats, kayaks, bumper balls and zorb balls. Too tired to head home? They also have accommodations available that can get you free entrance to their pool facilities and a complimentary breakfast.  

    5. Caliraya Resort Club
    Where: Lumban, Laguna
    Entrance fee: Daytour package of P2,200 (includes a buffet lunch, access to swimming facilities and three attractions, and ferry transfer)



    Caliraya has everything you could be looking for in an activity-filled daytrip. They have ziplines, skybikes, wall climbing, rapelling, kayaks, canoes, zorb balls and more. But what they have that others don’t is a Super Slide! It’s a 550-foot kid-friendly water slide that runs along the ground. You can start out small with their Slip N’ Slide too. 

    Adults looking for more of an adrenaline rush can try the Slide & Fly which is exactly what it sounds like. The momentum from going down the massive slide and the skyward ramp at the end will have you soaring through the air! When all your energy’s drained away, consider a going horseback riding or relaxing around a bonfire.
