In this age, when the novelty of gaming apps or gadgets wears off, it’s good to know that parents can always turn to more traditional, non-electronic toys to awaken their children’s creativity, inquisitiveness and sense of wonder.
A new store in Greenbelt 5, ELC (Early Learning Centre), promises to provide parents of kids aged 0 to 6 with a wide selection of toys that not only satisfies a child’s playfulness, ignites his imagination, but also helps him learn key skills best imbibed at a certain age of development.
A franchise from the UK, ELC offers toys that have passed both British and European standards, ensuring that their products are hazard-free and non-toxic. In order to guide parents as well on what toys fit their child the best, ELC created the following toy categories: Action & Adventure for dinosaurs, cars, farms, castles; Art & Creativity for arts and crafts items such as notebooks, paintings, coloring materials; Baby & Toddler for toys that stimulate young children’s overall development; Let’s Pretend for cooking items, dolls, and the like; Music & Learning for musical toys and learning packs such as flash cards and number magnets; Puzzles & Games such as wooden block games; and Sports & Activity for basketball games, inflatable toys, swimming toys, bounce toys.
Each item is labeled with an icon that indicates the skills that a child can learn by playing with, along with the recommended age. Children of shoppers can also stay in a play area where they can freely touch toys on display and learn more about them.
