As someone who was raised in Batangas, I can attest that the letter "B" in our province's name stands for three things: barako (the coffee or the people, take your pick), balisong, and beaches. One of the best spots to consider visiting for a family vacation is Laiya in San Juan, Batangas. With its white sand, clear waters, and close proximity to Manila, it's a perennial favorite of beach lovers looking for a quick getaway.

If your budget is a bit tight but you still want the amenities of a resort, this is an ideal place for you and your family. Take note that the entrance fee of Php100 per head is not included in the accommodation, but it's still a great deal.

You can enjoy water activities like fly fish, parasailing, snorkeling, and riding a jet ski during the day, or tour nearby cave ruins before retiring in their rustic rooms at night. In terms of fun activities, this resort offers a lot for its affordable price.
