Based on research from sources available to the public and from their respective government agencies, the website PassportIndex.org collected data from 199 territories around the world to do a "passport power rank." Those considered most "powerful" were passports that provide visa-free entry to the most number of countries.
So let's get this out of the way first. You're wondering how the Philippines ranked, and you're expecting it to be at the bottom rung of the ladder. Well, it is ranked 64--we have visa-free travel to 61 countrie--in the 2016 Passport Index out ranking of of 92 countries, but we're not at the bottom (a place that goes to Afghanistan).
As for the top position, like us, you probably guessed the United States. We were wrong. Here are the most powerful passports in the world.
