  • This year's Smart Parenting Convention is happening on July 21, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the SM Megamall Mega Trade Hall 3. And we’re giving you a sneak peek at a few wonderful baby products you’ll be able to get on the day of the big event!

Apart from the talks on pregnancy and parenting from our experts, we have at least 50 concessionaires to fill your shopping needs, all in one location with discount offerings you cannot pass up. Tickets are priced at just Php100 (there's a buy-4-get-1-free ticket promo!) and available to purchase at Smtickets.com or on-site.

Here's a peek at the shopping finds for newborns and babies:

    1. Cloth diapers

Dandy Nappy, which started in 2012, is a pioneer brand in the Philippines that offer quality modern cloth diapers. Its best seller is the All-In-One Cloth Diaper which is adjustable and can fit newborns to 4-year-olds.

    2. Snacks and mealtime items

Nosh Baby Munchables are teething wafers recommended for babies 4 months old and up. The baked wafers dissolve easily and contain no artificial colors and flavors. Choose from Simply Rice, Strawberry Beet, Blueberry, Cinnamon, or Banana Mango.

The Happy Dragon store carries Silikids feeding products for babies starting out on solids. The Universal Straw Tops turns any cup at home into a child-friendly straw-top one. Air suction keeps the 100% food-grade silicone top in place. You can either get the top and straw set or buy just the silicone straws too.

    3. Teethers

Mom and Little has lots of teether designs you can choose from like colorful BPA-free silicone ones (which you can also pop in the fridge), wooden teething rings, and wearable teething mittens for your little biter.

    4. Baby clothes

Baby Zone has clothes for baby boys and girls from newborn (0 months) to toddler-age (18 months). Its bodysuits are made of soft 100% cotton material and come in a range of cute designs. For more special occasions like birthdays and photoshoots, it also has a variety of dressed-up rompers to choose from.

From baptismal gowns to petti dresses, Style Me Little, a specialty children’s boutique, has unique styles to choose from for every occasion (complete with hair accessories!). The brand is lovingly created by a Pinay wife and mom-to-two.

    5. Sleep items

Locally-made, the baby mattresses from Tiny Winks, which come in a wide range of sizes to fit cribs, playpens, and beds, are made of hypo-allergenic, certified sanitized, and environment-friendly materials.

Baby's crib should contain nothing but your little one, a firm mattress, and a fitted bed sheet. Zyji's fitted sheets are made of 100% cotton. Sizes include those that can fit a co-sleeper mini arc, wooden crib, mini wooden crib, and playpen.

Swaddle baby to make him feel safe and secure during sleep. The Nest shop has swaddles from Baby K'tan which can be used as a toddler-sized blanket, a nursing cover, or a stroller cover as your child grows older. It is made from all-natural cotton-mosh, and breathable fabric.

Love to Dream swaddles still allow baby arm and leg movement while still providing comfort and security during sleep. It's just the thing for babies who like to sleep with their arms up. The swadddle also doubles as a safe sleep blanket. If the weather's a little warm, try the model with detachable sleeves.

Happy Ink makes personalized newborn and baby swaddles and toddler blankets for comfy and warm nights. Celeb mom Andi Manzano's toddler Olivia has one of her own.

    6. Bath and wellness items

The Botanicals in Bloom's Balm-Aid can be used for insect bites, minor cuts, and skin itchiness. It's free from mineral oil, preservatives, silicones, and phthalates. Its Anti-Colic Oil can be used to massage baby's tummy to help deal with fussiness.

Trim a newborn's nails is not an easy task, so make sure you have the right tools like Mother-K baby nail clippers, baby nail scissors (easier for small fingers than clippers), and a baby nail file from the Mighty Baby shop.

    7. Playtime products

Play is important to a baby's development. Mamas and Papas has a range of fun playtime items that include colorful floor mats, stuffed animals, and other soft toys to intrigue baby's senses.

See you at the Smart Parenting Convention!
