Because of cases of food-borne infections and diseases resulting from undercooked eggs, we recommend serving only well-cooked eggs—more so for infants. A soft-boiled egg may be undercooked. Eggs are one of the most nutritious foods around and giving babies a small daily serving is OK.
In general, egg yolks are rich in protein but the egg whites are richer. Penoy has more protein than century egg (13.6g/100g penoy vs. 1.5g/100g century egg). Balut has about the same amount as century egg (1.6g/100g balut). Note: 1 whole egg is about 50 grams.
