We told you to bring maletas last year, and the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2019 is no different based on the books we spotted during VIP day.
The giant book sale formally opens today, February 22, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. It will be open 24 hours non-stop for 11 days straight until March 4, 2019. Admission to the sale is free!
What's different this year? Big Bad Wolf says it's offering bigger, better discount rates of 50%-90% with a better selection of books across different genres. We're talking two million books and over 20,000 titles! You can definitely finish your Christmas gift shopping here.
Big Bad Wolf did not disappoint with its selection of baby books.
These lift-the-flap board books by Karen Katz, a writer and illustrator of some of the most well-loved picture books, go for Php160 each.

There are so many good books that are practically a steal that you can easily purchase a few to donate to the Big Bad Wolf's "Red Readerhood" program. The books go to Gawad Kalinga’s (GK) community libraries and schools. GK's executive director Luis Oquiñena told us Big Bad Wolf itself has donated at least Php3M-worth of books that have gone to GK communities in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
To donate, head to Red Readerhood corner. You can either purchase preselected books to donate to GK communities or drop off books that you selected and would like to donate.

Reminders when shopping at Big Bad Wolf Book Sale
- They don't allow food and drinks inside. You will find the food booths (more than last year) with plenty of tables at the exit.
- Let's be eco-friendly and bring your own bags, and, yes, luggage with wheels because you will need it.
- Here's a good tip from fellow moms: bring the kids the first time so they can choose what they want. And then you and the husband return another time because there are so many wonderful books we spotted for grown-ups.
There is an air-conditioned breastfeeding lounge!
